V. Edward Formisano is a partner at Sinapi, Formisano & Co., Ltd. His practice includes representation of employees in a wide range of matters including discrimination and harassment claims, severance negotiation, medical leave claims, whistleblower claims, wage and hour claims, and ERISA claims. He also practices in the area of civil rights, particularly police brutality and misconduct matters, discrimination and harassment in the educational setting, as well as personal injury law and general civil litigation.
Mr. Formisano practices before both federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies. He has practiced before the federal district courts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Supreme Court, and a number of Rhode Island courts, including, the Supreme, Superior, District, Family, and Workers Compensation courts. His administrative practice has included matters before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, OSHA, the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and a number of other state, federal and local administrative agencies.
Mr. Formisano is an active member of the American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice , Rhode Island Association for Justice and the Justinian Society.
Mr. Formisano is a graduate of St. Anselm College, Rhode Island College and University of New Hampshire.
